Shanghai Promotion Meeting Held for Western C…

The third promotion meeting for Western China Import Expo (Sichuan) & International Investment Conference (knownas “Import Expo”) was initiated in Shanghai on April 17th, rightly after the same-purposed conventions held in Beijing and Guangzhou. The Import Expo will make its debut in Chengdu, Sichuan Province from October 23^rd to 27^th, expecting to attract an inflow of visitors to Chengdu, including over 3000 foreign enterprises and more than 10,000 professional buyers.

Ms. Zheng Li, Minister of Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs addressed on the aspects of Import Expo 2015, the current environment of Sichuan and the development of Sichuan Expo. Mr. Xu Qun, Deputy Director of Shanghai Office subordinated to Sichuan Provincial People’s Government, attended the meeting and made a speech. The meeting was presided by Mr. Yang Qinglong, Deputy Minister of Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs.

Over 150 guests attended the meeting, including officials from the consulate-general of Egypt, France, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Philippine, Portugal and other countries, heads of Semiconductor Equipment and Materials International (SEMI), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), Japan-China Economy Association, European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, China Britain Business Council (CBBC), Singapore Chinese Chamber, Canada China Business Council (CCBC), China Office of Valencia External Trading Bureau (Spain) and Shanghai Internet of Things Industry Association, and representatives from renowned enterprises including Michelin, Apple, ABB, IBM, Intel, Corning, Honeywell, Diageo and Asahi Glass, among all others.
