In July 2014, Party Chief-Wang Dongming officially invited Germany to be the guest of honor at the 16th WCIF during a meeting with the Chancellor of Germany-Angela Merkel who was visiting Sichuan. Vice Prime Minister and Minister of the Economic & Energy Ministry of Germany Gabriel has written to us, confirming that Germany has agreed to be the guest of honor at the 16th WCIF in Chengdu after one year of negotiations. Germany will dispatch high-level delegations, set up the German Pavilion and Enterprise Booth, as well as hold meetings and activities during the event.
