The 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and International Investment Conference in 100-Day Countdown

The 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and Western China (Sichuan) International Investment Conference is to be held in September 15-18. On June 7, the 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and International Investment Conference was in 100-day countdown.
    General Secretary Xi Jinping announced at the Opening Ceremony of Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation that, China will hold China International Import Expo since 2018, to set up an international platform for overseas products entering China, trading among various countries in the world and driving growth of global trade. Smooth trade is an important content in the building of Belt and Road. According to the requirements of “being down-to-earth in organizing major conferences and exhibitions and investment promotion events” put forward at the 11^th congress of Party representatives of Sichuan, themed at “Smooth Trade, Cooperation for Development”, the 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and Western China (Sichuan) International Investment Conference is actively setting up the “Belt and Road” strategic undertaking platform echoing to the Western China International Fair. It is to be held in Western China International Expo City in the Sichuan Tianfu New Area, the China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone.
    The 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and Western China (Sichuan) International Investment Conference is organized by China Chamber of International Commerce and Organizing Committee of Western China International Fair. Adhering to the development directions of internationalization, professionalization and marketization and aiming at countries and regions along the Belt and Road, it highlights the advantageous key industries and characteristic industries of Sichuan. By grasping the opportunity of China (Sichuan) Pilot Free Trade Zone speeding up in “going global" and “attracting foreign investments”, it tries to drive the deeper communication and cooperation, and redoubles efforts to become an important economic and trade communication platform and brand fair for implementing the “Belt and Road” strategy in western China.
    The total exhibition area of the 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and Western China (Sichuan) International Investment Conference covers an area of 60,000 square meters, consisting of industrial cooperation, commodity trade and service trade segments.
    The industrial cooperation segment: In it are an electronic information exhibition zone and an equipment manufacturing exhibition zone, with the former mainly for displaying the complete electronic equipment, display technologies and products, digital interaction entertainment technologies and products, AI technologies and products, etc., and the latter mainly for displaying the technologies and products from aviation manufacturing industry, emergency industry, oil and natural gas chemical engineering industry, auto industry and other technologies and products.
    Commodity trade segment: In it are the imported liquor, drinks and food exhibition zone, imported fashionable apparel exhibition zone, imported infant & mom and daily necessities exhibition zone, and the imported handiworks exhibition zone. Besides, the national pavilions for BRICKS and countries along the Belt and Road would be added for demonstrating the characteristic products of those countries. The exhibition zone of local features would also be set up, for showing the quality characteristic products of cities (prefectures) of Sichuan and other provinces (cities and prefectures).
    Service trade segment: In it are the import & export channel and carrier exhibition zone, free trade zone of centralized exhibition, comprehensive bonded zone, export processing zone, bonded logistics center and national, provincial development zones, China-Europe Train—Chengdu-Europe Fast Railway and all kinds of open ports and other institutions and services, especially the air services, cross-border e-commerce, capacity cooperating, outsourcing of engineering services, culture creativity, sports industry and supporting activities.
    During the 2nd Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and Western China (Sichuan) International Investment Conference, the Opening Ceremony and Sourcing Fair of Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo and International Investment Conference, the 9th Western China International Capital Forum, the China-South Asia Friendship Organizations’ Forum, the 8th China (Sichuan)-South Asia Business Promotion Roundtable Seminar, the China-Italy Food Safety Cooperation Forum, the 2nd Forum on Sustainable Development of Cities in Western China, China-Europe Train (Chengdu) International Cooperation Forum, the 3rd International Port Trade and Logistics Cooperation Conference, the 2nd Western China Public Sourcing Fair, the 4th International Forum on Intelligent Vehicle, the 4th China (Western) International Flat Panel Display Summit Forum and the 4th China Western E-commerce Development Summit are also to be held.   

    According to relevant responsible persons of Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs, the Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo is in the 100-day countdown. The investment and exhibition attraction, event organization, guest invitation, promotion and other preparation work are in orderly progress. The presentation of Western China International Fair Import and Export Expo has been held in Chengdu, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Paris of France, Verona of Italy, Johannesburg of South Africa, Khon Kaen of Thailand and Kuala Lumpur of Malaysia, being well accepted and actively supported at home and abroad. As of now, Germany, France, Russia, Spain, Netherlands, Hungary, Iceland, Brazil, India, Pakistan, Nepal, Indonesia, Philippines and other countries have decided to participate or have the intention to; Shanghai, Chongqing, Gansu, Xinjiang, Shaanxi, Qinghai, Ningxia, Heilongjiang and other provinces (regions and cities) and many cities (prefectures) in Sichuan have decided to be present, so do Foxconn, Intel, PetroChina, Sinopec and a number of other Fortune 500 enterprises.
