Introduction of Imports Expo

In order to accelerate opening-up process of Sichuan Province, fully utilize business guest resources accumulated on Western Fairs in previous years,improve foreign trade structure, strengthen economic and trade exchanges,vigorously develop imports promotion platform and deeply implementOpinions of the State Council  on Strengthening  Import(GFB [2014] No.49), Western China Import Expo & International Investment Fair is proposed  to be alternatively held with Western Fair in late October from this  year on  biannual  basis. The Imports  Expo  will strengthen investment trade function and aim to build up a platform for important “One Belt One Road” economic & trade exchanges and opening-up in western region of China.

    The expo will occupy an area of 120,000 m2, mainly  covering exhibition of  advanced technical equipment and key components, service trade and commodities. Advanced Technologies and Equipment Hall, Finished-vehicles and Spare Parts Hall, Service Trade Hall, “One Belt One Road” Regional Cooperation Hall, Sister City Hall, Consumer Goods Hall and outdoor exhibition areas. 

    On Imports Expo,the forum themed with“Free Trade and Economic Globalization”,Western China(Sichuan)International Investment Cooperation Fair and other specialized investment promotion activities will be held. Sino-French Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference, 2015 Western China Import Commodities Purchase and Supply Conference,China(Western)Import E-commerce Promotion Forum£¬The 2nd China (Western) Flat Panel Display Industry Forum and other specialized activities will also be planned. Meanwhile, The 7th Cultural and Business Exchange and Member Representative Conference of The G.U.C.O. from Vietnam, Cambodia & Laos is also planned to be held. 

    Over 20,000 guests and business exhibitors will be invited on the Conference. Based on the industrial and resource advantages in western regions,  high-ranking officials  and minister-level officials, officials  of sister cities of Sichuan and distinguished guests,international famous expert and scholars,persons in charge of important international organizations and domestic foreign investor associations, and leaders of well-known transnational companies will be invited  with  priorities. Production enterprises, regional and transnational chain enterprises, overseas  Chinese entrepreneurs and Taiwanese  entrepreneurs, retail  and  wholesale  enterprise and business investors  in  relevant industries will be invited to carry out business negotiation, participate the expo and make procurement.
